    Compensation Amounts for Scarring

    Generally speaking, scarring on parts of the body that are often concealed are usually less than scarring on the face. However, there are scars elsewhere that are noticeable. These scars can also cause significant psychological and social issues.

    The amount of compensation you receive will depend on whether your burns or scars are regarded as partial, full or superficial thickness, how you have been psychologically affected by the burn scar, whether there has been a physical disability and if there is a need for surgery.
